One can only advise against this restaurant, especially the owner. As a former employee, I don't want to report on the restaurant, quality or price / performance. After more than a year, I finally received my documents through the labor court. Mr Grenzdörffer's comment after the hearing, outside the court, was in the bottom drawer. The owner also lied during the trial. I also did not receive any more salary during the notice period. In the meantime I do without it because any contact with this person is superfluous. I am not an isolated incident. The handling of the owner with the staff should give the guests food for thought.
Perfect service! Very well-kept and very humane prices for this upscale Munich cuisine. The drink was there within two minutes and my roast pork after about seven minutes. Exactly the right portion and a very fluffy but crispy crust! The service is right on the spot but is not imposing. I have never eaten so well anywhere in Munich. It couldn't be better !!
The food was very tasty. Service was nice, courteous and competent. Prices weren't cheap.
We visited here Thursday 1st October 2020. It is on Pfeuferstrasse and the corner with Spitzwegstrasse. The nearest U-Bahn is probably Harras or Impelstrasse on the U6, however, Implestrasse is one stop closer to the centre so likely to be the best option, it takes 15 minutes in total from Marianplatz, comprising of 5 mins by U-Bahn and a 10 minute walk from Implestrasse. Wirsthaus Tannengarten is a typical building from its period, large, cream coloured exterior as I recall with a Biergarten at the rear, it was late, dark and now October so we had booked a table inside. The interior was also quite typical in that there was plenty of wood, however, the bar exterior had some nice glazed tiles on the front, there was plenty of tables and seating and in these Covid-19 times, it was very well-spaced. In short, it is really quite a smart place, we like it. The food menu was a little more limited than I would have expected, however both our Veal Gulasch with vegetables and spatzle and Cordon Bleu Schnitzel were very good, they were both 17.90 euros. We had Kaiserschmarrm for dessert. Beer selection is from the Ayinger brewery and most of the core range was here with the lesser seen Kirbe (might have spelt that wrong) festival beer also, this is the unfiltered version of their festival beer. We liked it here and would certainly return I think, it would be nice to see what the Biergarten was like.
Delicious kellerbier
Very nicely prepared, very nicely renovated, especially after the change of ownership, rather rustic and modern. The menu is now a little fresher and more modern - makes a very good impression. Waiters always very nice. nice, hidden beer garden behind the inn.
Very good onion roast, great service!
Expensive but really good. It was a solid veal schnitzel, but the homemade cranberry sauce was amazing! The bbq ribs were a little bit on the drier side, but good. Ended up paying €50 for 2 mains and 2 beers.
So the food was really good and tasty. But the service left a lot to be desired. Totally overwhelmed, very long waiting times and you can't express any special requests (pretzel dumplings instead of potato dumplings). I hope it gets better, it's a shame about the good food.
Having to wait too long for the beer. OK
Since 09.09.20 the opening times and rules have changed. In the beer garden there are only seats with service. However, there are only two waitresses for the entire restaurant who also have to tap themselves, which leads to longer waiting times for service. The hygiene rules are only slightly observed, but the prices for food and drinks have increased significantly. The toilet facilities in the beer garden area were simply a joke. It was not cleaned several times a day but rather several times a month ☹️. How the cleaning in the restaurant develops remains to be seen. The only positive thing is that the beer garden in the middle of the city is very nice, but the landlord cannot help ?.
Nice little beer garden with the best beer garden food !! Great spare ribs that just fall off the bone. Wiener schnitzel thin and tender as it should be. The roast pork was also great. Definitely highly recommended!
The Tannengarten beer garden is like an oasis in the Sendling desert. Cozy and beautiful. The food is excellent, especially the spare ribs and especially the tarte flambé. The staff is extremely nice, especially Manuela, the good soul of the beer garden, who ensures a good atmosphere and also provides guests with food and drinks, even though it's actually self-service. One can only wish for such a service. Keep it up !
Went to the beer garden tonight. Very relaxed atmosphere. The spare ribs were excellent. And Manuela who took care of our physical well-being is the good soul of the beer garden. A great successful evening ?
The beer garden of the Tannengarten inn is very beautiful in itself. Unfortunately, the service, prices and food leave a lot to be desired. The beer garden is self-service and although there was no one waiting for us next to us, the clerk behind the counter was very impatient and extremely unfriendly, with an inappropriate harsh tone that almost made us leave the place. The prices for self-service just too high. Speci 4 euros, schnitzel with frozen chips 14 euros. We also didn't like the food for this price. The schnitzel unfortunately baked out very pale and the fries, as already mentioned, cheap frozen goods. Too bad about this visually beautiful place, which I cannot recommend.
Unfortunately, the roast pork was cold and not fresh for lunch! Drinks like Spezi with 4 € very expensive for self service! Hygiene concept not recognizable only a disinfectant in the beer garden the cutlery accessible to all guests not packed!
Very nice waiters. It was simply beautiful. Great food Fresh and not expensive. thank you
Large selection in the menu. Recommended to go there. Large beer garden available. Modern Bavarian restaurant. Good service, food very good. thank you
Delicious beer and food with friendly staff who are up for a laugh and accommodate foreigners well (photo is from a private work function in the back room as we had a catered dinner. Photo shows the keg having a two knocked into it ?)
Super friendly staff and delicious food.
Very good! Meat and beer very delicious. Filen dank!
Food was very good, the portions decent. Unfortunately, it was freezing in the restaurant, coziness does not occur. The stainless steel trash cans in the ladies room urgently needed a cleaning.
Good service, awesome lunch deals and good food quality, will definitely go back to!
It's good. It's a sight-seeing experience, but I feel like I've been to a place where local people come and eat. I don't have an English menu, so I guess it's right; I spent three days in Munich and it seemed like I was being treated to cooking for the first time. In the case of Schnitzel, this is the first time I've eaten at Hopebroy. Food quality is different. The frying oils are different and the potatoes are not just fried, they come out as moist foods. It's the last day of Munich and next time I'll have to come to this place. Friendly staff. However, if you come to see you immediately or do not send a sign, you will come and treat you kindly. I've used the restaurant a few times and it's a culture that I don't respond to very quickly because there are tables and service routines unlike Korea. The lively and noisy restaurant was a neighborhood restaurant just a day before the beer festival. Einger says that wheat is the representative beer. Anyway good
Top Bavarian Tavern at Harras! Brewmaster Steak was always grilled perfectly, very tender and delicious! The beef supposedly comes from the region and tastes very good. The fish dishes I really liked! The staff are relaxed and very friendly. After the reopening in July 2019 everything is right and fun.
Small beer garden at the back of the Gasthaus. Shaded and calm corner. Typical dishes of a beer garden, quality not bad. Prices are correct.
Top Service !
Food is amazing. It’s such a cozy and beautiful place. I highly recommend it.
Nice, friendly and good kitchen. We had it and have long planned to eat here and somehow we have always resorted to known. But now we know that we will surely come back.
Great food with high quality meat
Excellent food! I had the „WIRTSHAUSSCHMANKERL“ it was a good meat plate.
Bayrisch rustikal
Typically Munich. Hard to find
Good food and service
Great food, nice atmosphere and very decent prices. The waiters are very nice - kudos to Florian!
I like this place, always nice food ?
I ate the gröstl. Good but not the best I ate. Nice waitresses and waiters. Nice place.
Good food and atmosphere (that goes for indoors and the beer garden too). Great if you're looking for a Bräuhaus a little off the "beaten tourist path" as this seems to be frequented by more locals.
A hidden little gem....
Good food good service especially in the beer garden.
Nice place. Kind staff, good service and quality.
